Just as with normal real-world relationships, online relationships need to be tended and to be allowed to grow over time. Here is some quick growing advice:
1. Take Time and Make Time: Does your online date get in touch with you often? Do you do it too? Ignoring virtual meetings is considered rude, so treat each other’s time respectfully. If that respect seems lacking, it might mean that it is time to move on.
2. Communication Needs to “Feel” Right For Both of You: If one of you is appears to be too desirous about meeting up, for example, that can create uncomfortable feelings. So, please, don’t hurry things; learn to take your time and engender trust in each other.
3. Respect Each Other’s Privacy: Don’t share the other person’s email addresses or digital photos with your friends online, for example; especially if your online date sent you the information in confidence.
4. Share Special Online and Offline Enjoyable Times: Online: send online greeting cards; links to favorite places to upload digital photos of your favorite pet; download music and video clips; post on favourite forums of interest. Offline: if you’re exchanging addresses or post office boxes, send printed greeting cards and postcards, small items from your area (like a key chain with your state bird).
5. Share Recipes: People get tired of just talking about the weather, so a very popular subject to turn to is food. Sharing information about favourite foods and recipes will break the ice and even help create a friendship; talk about your culinary skills, or the lack thereof, and preferences. Search online for free recipes to share and take photos of your culinary creations and share them with your online date as well.
6. Bidding at Auctions: Ebay auctions sell just about everything, don’t they? There you go then, look about and enter searches like the dates you were in middle school and share nostalgic memorabilia of old games, toys and TV shows from when you were a child or when your parents or grandparents were little.
Online dating can be an educational and fun experience. So learn more about each other and have fun while youre doing it. Take a cyber-stroll down ol’ memory lane together and see what’s cookin’. Tend your online relationship. Water it with care and over time it may sprout and grow.

If you are thinking about a hybrid car, you may be hearing quite a bit of “talk”. Some people think the hybrid car is the best thing on the market. Some people say it’ll just pass. Other people say they think they can save a lot of money, but you’re not sure it’s really worth it. What’s the truth, and how do you separate myth from fact with all of the stuff that is being thrown at you? Below, you can read and understand the common hybrid car myths.
Hybrid cars are just the same as electric cars: This is untrue because hybrid cars are fuel-powered most of the time. But they have what are called ‘battery assists’. The assist is powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery pack that is rechargeable.
You are guaranteed to save money with a hybrid car: If you are doing city motoring, you may economize on gas and you may not. The same goes for long-distance driving. There are so just many different factors involved. It has been said that if everyone bought a hybrid car, the fuel consumption would decrease by just 10%. That’s not a very big decline, now is it?
A hybrid vehicle’s battery can run out: A hybrid car’s battery should not run flat when you are actually driving it. The engine of a hybrid car does not idle when stopped (at a red light for example). What does it do then? Well, it recharges its battery. So there’s no need to worry about a hybrid car stopping on that score.
A hybrid vehicle’s rechargeable battery lasts only for two years: A hybrid car certainly would not be worth buying if this was the case. A hybrid vehicle’s rechargeable batteries usually come with an eight-year guaranty.
If I run out of gas, I can continue driving on the hybrid car battery: Bear in mind that, a hybrid’s battery is an assist. That means that hybrid cars still run on fuel. After you run out of gas, the battery may keep the car running for a short while. However, the car will cease running very soon.
Hybrid vehicles will soon put conventional car dealers out of business: I’m sure that this won’t happen very soon. The reason for the delay has to do with the how much hybrids cost. Many people just can’t afford one. Also, people just aren’t sure whether they will actually save money by buying a hybrid car. Therefore, they are loathe to join the stream of people who want to own a hybrid vehicle.
Hybrid cars will only save you about 88USD per annum: I did see something on the news the other day, but it may not be true. If there’s something you really want and there’s a lot of gossip surrounding it, you simply have got to start digging around and do of your own research. There are many different types of hybrid vehicle, and many different manufacturers make them. This means that there may be much more involved than we have discussed here. A hybrid car may help you, and it may not, but the final decision is up to you.
Therefore, please don’t worry too much about what people say. They probably have only listened to others passing on rumours Do your own due diligence and think it out for yourself. Use the Internet to get your information. The manufacturer’s literature is also rather useful, if you stick to reading the facts and gloss over the gloss. Check that what the literature claims is also in the warranty.

A senior by definition is a person who is older than you or, more broadly, an older member of the community. Dating, by definition describes courtship between two people – which is usually romantic – who are either expecting or not expecting marriage.
So, ‘senior dating’ refers to the romantic courtship between two people who are considered older members of society, or the romantic courtship of two people where at least one partner is an older member of society. When referred to as ‘senior’, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the person has to be over the age of perhaps – 60 years of age. People of over the age of, for instance, 40 years are also thought of as ‘seniors’, since people are thought to live ‘three score years and ten’ (70 years), half of which is 35.
It depends which of the various senior dating services you use, especially when trying Internet senior dating, the age group targeted may vary. However, generally speaking. ‘senior dating’ is designed for those people who are above 40 years of age.
Senior dating allows seniors, who may be divorced, widowed or still single, a chance to meet people of a similar age group and to share ideas and interests or, if a deeper bond is found between the two, a more meaningful relationship. This allows seniors to enjoy their life, just as they did when they were younger. Therefore, there are various senior dating services offered on the Internet.
The clients’ profiles in many of these these senior dating services, which are of course intended for seniors, do not often hold photos in them, which gives those who have uploaded their photos an immediate advantage. Most people are apparently too worried about what they look like. Furthermore, a few of these senior dating agencies offer specialist services such as anonymous email, instant messaging, chat rooms and forums.
When you make use of these online senior dating websites, you will be able to make new local friends, and chat with each other politely online, so that compatible partners can be found. Additionally, if you are meeting outside the online website, you should be sure that the meeting is held in a public place – especially if you are meeting each other for the very first time and do not know each other all that well.
Another precaution you can take would be to inform someone you trust where you are going and with whom. However, if, for any reason, you begin to feel uneasy with the person you are with, just be polite and make your exit.
Although these precautions and safety measures are general knowledge, it is necessary to repeat them again here, since it is better to be safe than sorry. You would do well to adhere to them too. In this way, senior dating will prove to be a successful and safe way of allowing those who are divorced, widowed or have children, to be able to rebuild their lives and enjoy friendship with the opposite sex again.

Fashion seems to dictate everything these days. From what you wear to what you call your dog, everything you do is dictated by the need to be fashionable. Cool dog names are hard to come by and even harder to choose. This is because as soon as something is in fashion, than it is out again.
Who would want to choose a cool dog name that may not be fashionable tomorrow? People usually play it safe as a result, hence why the same names have been so popular for so long. To try and break that cycle, five cute dog names are given below with the reasons why you should choose one of them for your dog.
Phoenix: What could be cooler than a bird that goes up in flames and then rises from the ashes? Phoenix is one of the cute dog names that will never go out of fashion because it is rooted in mythology. It has a timeless quality which has surprisingly failed to boost its popularity.
Star: Star is one of the cute dog names because it has so many meanings that you can have a hard time finding out where to start. A star in the sky is a phenomenon and a star can refer to someone that excels in a certain field. It is indeed a high form of praise and so is definitely a cute dog name.
Lady: Lady is one of the most popular dog names but it is also one of the cool dog names because of the Disney cartoon film, Lady and the Tramp, which was a huge hit. This made the name popular but also gave it some credibility. In this case popularity is second to coolness.
Elvis: The coolest of cute dog names. Elvis Presley was definitely cool and remains cool today even after his death. It is infinitely cool to call your dog after an icon who never goes out of fashion.
Shadow: There is a dark and ethereal quality about Shadow that makes it a cute dog name. It would be best used on a big breed of dog though, because it wouldn’t have the same strong effect with a small one.
Whatever cool dog names you use for your mut, it is one sure way to give your dog an identity of their own and make your dog unforgettable to others.

Your house is finally spick and span and you sit down and put your feet up for a minute with a nice cup of coffee by the side of you and you pick away at your muffin. You feel tired but it’s that good kind of tired when you know you’ve done a hard day’s work and you have no regrets about it. A feeling of contentment settles about you and you look around you with satisfaction.
A magazine lies in front of you tantalizingly within reach and you give in and pull it towards you, intent on enjoying a well-deserved rest. The main cover story jumps out at you, entitled ‘Country Home Decor’. Naturally you flip through eagerly to that very section, you had only just seen an article on some stylish country home decor or turning your house into a small country haven in another magazine and it had interested you.
There are pages and pages of the magazine filled with what can only be described as the most ideal examples of country home decor imaginable. You gaze longingly at the various styles and furnishings you see gracing the magazine’s pages. A quick glance up from your magazine reassures you that your own modest abode hasn’t changed somehow instantly into one of those lovely country homes you were just admiring.
A heavy sigh passes your lips at the realization and so you go back to reading the magazine article. You had never thought that you were the sort of person who could stand the country home decor style but now upon reflection you think you just might be able to.
Without your even realising it you find yourself marking the pages that interest you the most, making small mental calculations on how best to create the same effect but on the more modest budget that you have at your disposal. After all, it wouldnt do to spring for that lovely dresser and have to go without your freshly ground whole bean coffee now, would it?
However, you could certainly go for that appealing table runner without a problem. And if you donated all your modern chrome coffee mugs and dinner sets to charity you wouldn’t really be splurging, would you, since you’ve done your best for charity and donated all these things so unselfishly?
And what about exchanging those jazzy blinds for something that’s a bit more in the country home decor style. And while you’re going about it, perhaps you could even swap that awful lampshade you received as a house-warming gift for something more country.
The only thing that is left for you to do now is to lie back and enjoy the results of your work and gaze with open pride upon your newly redecorated home. Furnished, naturally enough, in the best country home decor style that you could obtain from every source that you found, like that first magazine article that started it all off way back when.

Just where did a hybrid car get it’s start? Well, read on to find out. Hybrid cars are very popular to today’s car buyers, and there are many reasons why. But before you even think about choosing a hybrid car to buy, you might want to know a little bit about the history of the hybrid car first.
It is surprising, but hybrid cars were around even before gas-powered cars. In about the year 1665, a Jesuit priest by the name of Ferdinand Verbeist began making plans for a new type of vehicle. That vehicle or cart would be very simple, nothing complex. Simple was all he was interested in.
So Ferdinand designed a car that would have four wheels and would run only on steam. It took about fifteen years of work for Ferdinand to go through with his plan. He laboured to perfect his dream car. But no one knows if he ever finished because there is no evidence that his concept ever came into existence.
Then in 1769, a man by the name of Nicholas Cugnot designed and developed a carriage that was powered by steam. This carriage really did work and it went at six miles per hour. This project was all well and good, but it was difficult to get the amount of steam needed to make the car to travel any significant distance.
A break through in hybrid car design finally came when Robert Anderson developed an electrically powered car in 1839. It was the first of its breed and was built in Scotland.
This model electric car was a highly applauded innovation of its time. However, the only problem was that it was very difficult to recharge the car’s battery. Some pioneers did come after Anderson, but they had the same problem of getting the battery recharged easily.
Then there was another outstanding break-through, in the year 1898, Porsche came out with an electric and fuel combo combustion engine that was the first of its kind. The car was named the Lohner Electric Chaise and it could go for up to 40 miles using only its batteries.
Soon, pioneers combined both gas and a battery powered engines to become what would turn into today’s hybrid car. In 1999, Honda made its jump into the US market. It came out with the Honda Insight, which was a lightweight two-door hybrid vehicle. Since then, hybrid vehicles have been evolving and improving into what we see on the market today. Hybrid cars are no longer just for the techies who think it’s cool to combine battery and liquid fuel to get them where they want to go. Hybrid cars began life simple, and they still are quite simple today.
Now hybrid cars are becoming more and more popular as people understand them more. Hybrid cars in the 21st century saw a boom in sales when the Toyota Prius came out on the market. It was the first hybrid with four doors that was sold in America.
Soon after, the Ford Escape hybrid became the very first SUV hybrid ever made. So there it is in a nutshell, the history of the hybrid car – today’s modern car.

For those of us who spend a lot of time in the country decorating ideas are not hard to come by. Speaking for myself, I think that a lot of my inspiration derives from the environment around me. When I say that, I don’t mean to say that I take the most obvious aspects of the country around me, only that if you look hard enough you’ll always find a subtle mixture of country decorating ideas that you will be able to take into your own stylish home decor.
Doing your home up with country decorating ideas is great but if you don’t make it blend in naturally with its environment your house will just become an eyesore like an invader upon the glory of nature. Haven’t you ever looked at a house set in the country and thought to yourself: how pretty and peaceful it was, and how much you’d really like to live there?
Have you ever wondered why this was so? Without a doubt, it was for the house’s simplicity and elegance, along with the fact that it blended in so well with its surroundings. If you live in the country, you’re probably not sure what I’m talking about and you are wondering why I mention it.
Maybe you’ve lived in the country most of your life and you just don’t understand what is that special about the old country decorating ideas and homes that blend in with the environment. After all, a country house is much like any other house that you can find anywhere else. Or so you would think.
Well, I think you’d be wrong on that score! Country houses are a sight for sore eyes for those people who have been living in a concrete jungle. So, if you’re fortunate enough to have a house in the country enjoy the fact.
When you own a home in the country decorating ideas should be coming into your head nineteen to the dozen and with only a little planning on your part, you can make your normal country home into a cozy country retreat.
The only negative aspect I’ve noticed with this so far is the number of inspiration I get from my surroundings. That might not sound like a bad thing, but trust me, there’s nothing worse than having country decorating ideas pouring into your mind with almost no pause and not being able to implement them all.
However, when this flow starts, I just sit back and let it consume me. I’ve always found that there is no use struggling against the inevitable, although a little dreaming never did any harm. If the sparks of inspiration I’ve had are really good and they grip my attention, I write detailed notes about what I’d like to do.
So, no matter whether you want to change your home into a country residence, or whether you just want to redecorate the home you already have with country decorating ideas, the inspiration should be easy to come by and just as easy to put into place. A country home is the right place to be to rest from your stressful workday life.

Most people approach retirement with a gloomy face. They approach retirement as if it is giving into the hands of fate and the decay of the body. Therefore, it is important to help the retiree understand that retirement is something to be accepted because it is an inevitable stage in ones life. But how can you do that? Its simple: poke fun at retirement. Retirement jokes, like the ones made in speeches are popular. However, speeches tend to become emotional to the point that everyone in the room is in a state of gloom and sympathy. But one can raise the bar with retirement jokes (without insulting the retiree, of course).
Examples: In addition to talking about the wonderful moments the speaker has shared with the retiree, he/she can add something that will lighten up the atmosphere. One could give a tombstone slab, which has the inscription in advance on it. If you’re a friend, you may also make a joke by calling the retiree grandfather whenever the retiree speaks to you, as in “OK, grandfather”. This can also help lighten the mood. But dont overdo it, of course.
Another gag that might help is a wig in strong colour like pink, green or purple. A follow up item to that jocularity could be that he might need a wig in the very near future. If he refuses it, say: Okay, then wear a paper bag instead when you do go bald. Always be prepared for when a joke doesnt succeed. So keep those backup jokes ready! Believe it or not, some agencies write and sell personalized retirement speeches with witty jokes written in after knowing the personality and interests of the retiree. These companies usually add jokes about the retirees profession. If you can’t find enough retirement jokes, a visit to a bookstore can help a lot.
There are joke books that cover a vast range of topics, only one of which is retirement. A little search on this or that will help inspire the reader if he/she isnt a natural comedian. These may also be good retirement gifts as well, helping the retiree have a good laugh on one of those boring Monday afternoons. There are also a lot of websites on the net that provide a lot of jokes and free retirement e-books. The e-books that are available range from the 150 Best Things Said about Retirement to Retirement Wisdoms You Wont Get from your Trust Managerr.
Conclusion: One has a lot of leeway when one is telling jokes at a retirement party. If you know someone who is coming near to retirement, you can first send an email or two which has retirement quotes like retirement is when everyday is Saturday and retirement: goodbye tension, hello pension!. It is a nice gesture and gives the sense that you know what the future retiree is going through.
Again, keep the retiree (future or not) relaxed as much as possible. Make him/her anticipate retirement with a smile and not with a sigh as much as you can. And when the retirement party does come, keep the same light-hearted approach, inserting jokes here and there and possibly some gags like the ones said above. Not only will the retiree feel less wary about retirement, he/she will focus more on the people who made him happy on that bitter-sweet day, especially the one who gave him that weird pink wig.
